Wiggle Thunder Run 10K

Saturday 25th April 2009

After the runaway success of the inaugural Wiggle Thunder Run 10K in 2008, we have been able to push the event forward for 2009 with a purpose built course. Working closely with Runner’s World we are able to offer an exciting challenge for runners of all levels of confidence and ability.

As well as the well marshalled 10K route, winding through scenic Catton Park, you can expect great facilities, including hot showers and flushing toilets, free camping & parking close to the track right by the action. There will also be quality catering on site & a secure left luggage area. Your time will be logged with Champion Chip timing and every finisher will receive a goody bag and commemorative memento.

Entry to the Wiggle Thunder Run 10K is limited to 500 competitors allocated on a first come, first served basis

Wiggle Enduro 6

April 25th & 26th 2009

Viewed by many as the only way to start the season & blow away the winter cobwebs.  Wiggle Enduro 6 returns to Catton Hall for another classic 6 hour challenge.  Soloists & pairs aim to complete as many laps of the 6 mile course in 6 hours.  But there’s a twist….  Enduro 6 is a ‘parc ferme’ event, meaning that once the races starts riders have to be totally self sufficient, being given a pit area to put all their spares & supplies in to see them through the day.

On top of that we also have the Focus Night Time Time-Trial on the Saturday night, where riders are set off at two minute intervals in a sprint to complete a single of the Enduro 6 course as quickly as possible.  Plus for the whole weekend there’s also free demo rides available from Focus bikes & other leading brands & plenty of trade stands.

Over the winter months we have worked hard in conjunction with Catton Hall to develop the tracks at the site.  We have laid many, many metres of durable trails, making the course much more resilient to the British weather.

Original Source Mountain Mayhem

19th 20th & 21st June 2009

The event that changed everything!  For 12 years now this has been THE event to do.  Pro Velo Support & Pacific Edge Events bring you Mountain Mayhem, the UK’s biggest mountain bike festival.  Over 2000 riders of all abilities, from weekend warriors through to National Champions & Olympians, will test themselves to the limit around the Eastnor Castle course, set in the Malvern Hills.

After last year’s somewhat difficult weather conditions, our dedicated band of trail pixies have been hard at work again to create a whole bunch of new trails given the course at Eastnor Castle a bit of everything; technical singletrack descents, long punishing climbs as well as a healthy dose of fast & open sections.

Once again, Mountain Mayhem is set to be even bigger & better than ever before, with more riders, more displays, more shops, more demo bikes…. generally more moreness!  In previous years the event has sold out in just a couple of days, so get your teammates organised ready for when the entry form is released on 28th February to avoid disappointment.

Endura Sleepless in the Saddle

8th & 9th August 2009

What better way can there be to see out the Summer but with a relaxing weekend in the grounds of a lovely country estate, having a few drinks & a barbecue with friends old & new, fondly reminiscing on past experiences & looking forward to next year & the challenges that await….  Oh yeah, you could do all that & participate in a 24hr mountain bike race too!

Despite seeing some of the toughest athletic endeavours & most exciting racing of the season, over the years SITS has gained a reputation for being the most laid back & friendly endurance race in England, giving it a unique atmosphere. The fast 8 mile course has been developed over Winter & is now much more resilient to the UK’s sometimes unpredictable weather & our other events earlier in the year will have bedded the new tracks in well.

As always there’ll be the usual level of top facilities at a Pro Velo event, with quality catering, free bike wash, hot showers & flushing toilets.  And for those moments off the bike we’ll have plenty to keep you occupied with trade displays & a number of shops where you could pick up a few end of season bargains.  So get your entry in quickly, come join us & be part of what makes Endura SITS special.
