All Pro Velo Support events
are supported with unrivalled organisation & facilities.
The courses are professionally designed to offer the
runners a compelling challenge and are extensively marked
out with miles of tape & plenty of directional arrows.
There is always a mid-lap drinks station, distance markers
are placed at every kilometre & supportive marshals are
positioned along the route. These efforts are
complimented back in the event arena where everyone is
treated to complementary hot showers, flushing toilets &
trackside camping & parking. Accurate timing is taken
care of by Champion Chip & the proceedings will be brought
together by our enthusiastic commentator, who’ll be on the
mic to inspire & entertain. To ensure that you are always
fully fuelled there is an experienced caterer on site to
make sure that you’re full of carbs before the race &
satisfied with comfort foods afterwards. And if that
wasn’t enough we have a team of professional masseurs at
the ready to help with your warm up & to ease you aches.
We like to think that we recognise hard work when we see
it and so we endeavour to reward all participants with
bulging goody bags or event T-shirts. Then when it’s all
done & dusted all finishers receive a quality
commemorative memento.
Postal entries are now open for all Pro Velo Support’s
running events for 2010
with entry forms downloadable from
www.provelosupportuk.com
& online entry is now live on

Wiggle Lightning 12hr
Eastnor Castle Deer Park,
Ledbury.
Sunday 21st
March 2010.
We will be kicking off the
year with a brand new event to make sure that the winter
cobwebs are blown well and truly away. The Wiggle
Lightning 12 is a twelve hour off road running event open
for solo runners & teams to be held on Sunday 21st
March. Set in the heart of the Malvern Hills, the run is
being held in the stunning grounds of Eastnor Castle Deer
Park. The course will be as challenging as it is
enjoyable, taking in the breathtaking scenery as the 10k
route weaves its way up and down the hills and through the
dense woodland. Ample course marking, a mid-point drinks
station and plenty of marshals will ensure that
competitors can concentrate on enjoying the challenge and
tackling the terrain. The Wiggle Lightning 12 gives
runners a good taster of what’s to come later in the year,
getting used to the format, team tactics & night running.

Wiggle Thunder Run
10K.
Catton Park, Walton On
Trent.
Saturday 1st May
2010.
Into May and we head over
to Walton on Trent, near Lichfield and onto the undulating
terrain of Catton Park for the third annual Wiggle Thunder
Run 10K. The event has quickly established itself as one
of the friendliest events on the calendar with exceptional
facilities & a course that certainly dishes out an
enthralling ten thousand metres of twists, turns, climbs &
technical woodland sections. For 2010 we have added a
separate race & start time for the ever increasing numbers
of runners with dogs. They will be set off half an hour
after the main run so that everyone gets a clear run at
the course. This event not only gives runners a great
test of their off-road running ability, but it will be the
first chance of the year to test out the course that will
be used at August’s 24hr event.
After the runaway success of
the inaugural Wiggle Thunder Run 10K in 2008, we have been
able to push the event forward for 2009 with a purpose
built course. Working closely with Runner's World we are
able to offer an exciting challenge for runners of all
levels of confidence and ability.
As well as the well marshalled
10K route, winding through scenic Catton Park, you can
expect great facilities, including hot showers and
flushing toilets, free camping & parking close to the
track right by the action. There will also be quality
catering on site & a secure left luggage area. Your time
will be logged with Champion Chip timing and every
finisher will receive a goody bag and commemorative
memento.
Entry to the Wiggle Thunder
Run 10K is limited to 500 competitors allocated on a first
come, first served basis

Wiggle
Enduro 6
Catton
Park.
Sun May
2nd 2010
Viewed by many as the only way
to start the season & blow away the winter cobwebs.
Wiggle Enduro 6 returns to Catton Hall for another classic
6 hour challenge. Soloists & pairs aim to
complete as many laps of the 6 mile course in 6 hours.
But there's a twist.... Enduro 6 is a 'parc
ferme' event, meaning that once the races starts riders
have to be totally self sufficient, being given a pit area
to put all their spares & supplies in to see them through
the day.
On top of that we also have
the Focus Night Time Time-Trial on the Saturday night,
where riders are set off at two minute intervals in a
sprint to complete a single of the Enduro 6 course as
quickly as possible. Plus for the whole weekend there's
also free demo rides available from Focus bikes & other
leading brands & plenty of trade stands.
Over the winter months we have
worked hard in conjunction with Catton Hall to develop the
tracks at the site. We have laid many, many metres of
durable trails, making the course much more resilient to
the British weather.

Mountain Mayhem
Eastnor Castle Deer Park, Ledbury, Herefordshire
18th,19th & 20th June 2010
The event that changed
everything! For 13 years now this has been THE event to
do. Pro Velo Support & Pacific Edge Events
bring you Mountain Mayhem, the UK's biggest mountain bike
festival. Over 2000 riders of all abilities, from weekend
warriors through to National Champions & Olympians, will
test themselves to the limit around the Eastnor Castle
course, set in the Malvern Hills.
After last year's somewhat
difficult weather conditions, our dedicated band of trail
pixies have been hard at work again to create a whole
bunch of new trails given the course at Eastnor Castle a
bit of everything; technical singletrack descents, long
punishing climbs as well as a healthy dose of fast & open
sections.
Once again, Mountain Mayhem is
set to be even bigger & better than ever before, with more
riders, more displays, more shops, more demo bikes....
generally more moreness! In previous years the event has
sold out in just a couple of days, so get your teammates
organised ready for when the entry form is released on
28th February to avoid disappointment. |
